FoodSplat!: The Animated Movie is a 2012 American 3D computer-animation 2D digital-flash-animation comedy adventure film produced by Blur Studio and normally Universal Animation for Universal Pictures. The film was directed by Williams Resort and Written by Bob Benzo. It was animated by Object, Inc, AnimationEra, and Dreamworks Animation.

FoodSplat!: The Animated Movie premiered on June 16, 2012 at the Los Angeles Film Festival, and was released in the United States on September 7, 2012. Upon the release, it received positive reviews from fans and critics, The film earned a total of $689 million against a budget of $14.2 billion at the worldwide box office.


In a land named "Resortpolis", It involves many certain objects doing what they do best. An apple named App Brent, who is a somewhat amateur, is really gloomy because when he was a kid, people was destroying a sculpture made of paper mache and people bullied him at school. Most people doesn't care about him (at all). One day, an unauthorized object had an idea to destroy the land, he planned about squashing a watermelon with a 100 pound box.

While Dreamworks were working on Shrek in mid-1999, They got an idea to make an object film (even though, object community wasn't even a company yet until 2012) There was an object film called The Brave Little Toaster and other ones that were alive objects. They started the production in 2001 after Shrek was released.

This film used Adobe Flash CS3 in 2009 and switched to Adobe Flash CS6 in 2012. For digital animation, the film used Toon Boom Digital Pro and Toon Boom Animate. It also used Toon Boom Animate Pro in 2009. They used Adobe Photoshop for posters, bumpers, and concept arts. Maya for 3D animation. Adobe After Effects for visual effects and compositing, The Foundry Nuke for compositing, Houdini Effects for CGI effects, Avid Media Composer for video editing, Audacity for sound and dialogue editing, and Avid Pro Tools for music editing and arrangements.
